Scott Niedermayer to return for one more run?

There have been strong rumors and indications that Niedermayer was to announce his retirement on July 1st. However at seemingly the last moment, no announcement was made.

Perhaps he is still considering a run to repeat as Cup champions? Maybe his brother has convinced him to keep playing with him? Did Burke ask him to return?

Everything at this point is purely speculation, but until Scott comes forward and announces it officially, Ducks’ fans keep hope that he’ll remain captain of this team for the coming season.
