Ducks return the favor; split London series with Kings

Posted by Varius @ 10:22 AM, Sunday Sep 30th, 2007

Anaheim rebounded from a 4-1 loss on Saturday to deliver the same score on Sunday, except in their favor this time. Jonas Hiller looked solid in the win, getting the start from Ilya Bryzgalov, but Corey Perry was the main hero of the game with 2 goals and an assist.

The British and international fans made their presence known during an on-ice fight between Anaheim enforcer George Parros and Kings’ tough guy Scott Thornton, cheering and coining the term ‘Hockey Hooligans’. A standing ovation rocked the state-of-the-art O2 Arena as the players skated to the box.

Kunitz and Moen got the other Duck goals and Mike Cammalleri got his third in two games for the Kings in a losing battle.

The teams return to North America where the Ducks will start a 3-game road trip in Detroit.
