Youngsters shine for Canucks; Vancouver beats Anaheim 3-2

Posted by Varius @ 1:34 AM, Thursday Dec 13th, 2007

The Canucks tonight saw a silver-lining in Brendan Morrison’s iron-man streak coming to an end. Injury call ups Mason Raymond and Jason Jaffray each scored their first NHL goal (while assisting on each others as well) to propel the Canucks past the Ducks on Wednesday night.

Coincidentally, it was the first teammates to each score their first NHL goal in the same game since Drew Miller and Petteri Wirtanen did it for the Ducks earlier this year.

Daniel Sedin had the other Vancouver goal while Chris Pronger and former Canuck Todd Bertuzzi scored for Anaheim.
