Luongo stifles Anaheim shooters; Canucks win 2-1

Posted by Varius @ 2:09 AM, Monday Dec 31st, 2007

Ryan Getzlaf had the lone Ducks goal in the loss. While the Ducks had barely any shots through two periods, they came on strong in the third forcing Luongo to make several key stops against Todd Bertuzzi, Scott Niedermayer and Corey Perry. Daniel Sedin and Matt Cooke had the Vancouver goals which proved to be enough.

Newly-acquired Doug Weight played in his 1,110th NHL game. Weight has proven to be a better fit with the Ducks style of play this season than Andy McDonald, who is also excelling with his new team.
