Getzlaf dazzles, Ducks burn out Flames 4-1

Posted by Varius @ 3:19 AM, Friday Nov 30th, 2007

Some players seem to relax a little once they sign a big contract. Ryan Getzlaf only seems to be heating up. Getzlaf had two assists to help the Ducks rebound from a tough loss to Vancouver and smother the Calgary Flames 4-1. One of the plays was of definite highlight-reel caliber, as he undressed Flames D-man Dion Phaneuf and slid a perfect pass to Chris Kunitz for an easy tap-in goal.

Todd Marchant, Corey Perry and Rob Niedermayer also scored for Anaheim. Alex Tanguay had the lone Flames’ goal.

Getzlaf formerly played for the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL and didn’t disappoint his family and friends in the crowd.
